About Us
In 1961, George Periccos opened the now world famous "George's Portobello Fish Bar". 42 years later, his son Johnny decided to close down one of his dad's chip shops and open the greatest skate and BMX shop known to humanity... Halfpipe.
The staff at Halfpipe specialise in skateboards, snowboards, BMX and MTB. Halfpipe is an independent shop, run by riders for riders. Whether you're just starting out or practically a pro, all the Halfpipe lads are more than happy to help you out if you need assistance. So "drop in" and see us....spend some money.

Well it's been a manic couple of months. We're finding that more and more customers are coming to us over seas due to the Euro being so strong and as a result...snowboard gear is flying out! It's also that time of the year when we have to hand in our snow pre orders for next season and as usual we're offering a discount to customers who wish to pre-order items. Due to the massive increase of prices next year we are offering a huge 15% pre-order discount, so if you are interested in seeing next seasons gear just pop into the shop and have a flick through the catalogues. [
On another note, just a huge shout out to Dom at Notting Hill Arts Club and Harriet at Videopia who organised such an amazing night last Tuesday. Check out the video on youtube or skip to the minute 3:50 to see me and Alan wrecking it in our acting debut \"They call me the one take kid\". Join the group on face book and definitely go to one of their nights out...you'll have a grrrrreat time.

For the next couple of days customers will not be able to place orders through our website. We are updating our order system, so in the mean time if you would like to place an order you will need to call the shop direct on 0208 969 2999 or 0208 969 9944. Thanks a lot for the co-operation folks!
NEW PRICES...

Howdy y'all! Did you like my little taste of Americana? I thought it might be relevant due to Obama winning the US elections. I have to be honest, the first time I heard his name on the tele, I thought it was Osama. I just thought, 'That doesn't sound quiiite right.' Anyways, enough about current political issues...and more about prices going up. Most bike companies have increased the prices on bikes across the board due to the price rise of raw materials such as steel and rubber and even fuel to ship the bikes over. So at the moment we're waiting on some companies to give us the new retail prices. Some prices have already been edited, like Wethepeople, GT BMX's and Haro and others will be changed in due course. Bare with us and if you're unsure...just give us a buzz!

It's been a super busy month for all of us at the shop. Where do I start? Matt and I have been exploring the inner jungles of Thailand with our bestest friend Alan. It was a great holiday and all I bought back was this lousy malaria Matt declared his convesion from the scum to Spurs...get in!
Tommy is off fishing this week so good luck catching something big bro! Last but not least Johnny spent a well deserved break in sunny Cyprus. He enjoyed his time away but did not age well. In other news...most of the new '09 snow gear has arrived and it all looks awesome Keep checking the product pages for new stock.

Pro Tips
Skate Tip When picking a deck, bare in mind what sort of skating you will be doing (street/ vert). A wider deck will always feel more stable but a thinner one will be easier to flip.
Prices subject to change without notice.
